Alberta soil and ground water remediation guidelines in effect May 1

Edmonton – Alberta Environment and Parks revised soil and ground water remediation guidelines, released Feb. 2, come into effect on May 1.

Tier 1 guidelines are for application at a range of sites within a given land use. Tier 2 guidelines describe how to develop site-specific guidelines by modifying the Tier 1 guidelines using site-specific information.
