Niagara Falls, Ont. – The Ontario First Nations Technical Services Corporation will host the 2016 First Nations Water Summit and Symposium in Niagara Falls, Ont., Oct. 17 to 19.
Ontario Ground Water Association executive director K.C. Craig Stainton will speak on the topic of “Using Ground Water and Water Wells A Natural Advantage.”
The main objective of the symposium is to bring First Nations chief and council, band administrators, third-party managers, directors of public health, community health representatives, directors of public works and water plant operators together with industry, provincial and federal leaders and partners involved in addressing current water and wastewater issues, the OFNTSC said in a news release.
“The symposium will provide an opportunity to network and build awareness and understanding to the current day-to-day issues facing water and wastewater management and allow for the exchange of knowledge and expertise to build a stronger grass root support system within First Nation communities,” the release said.
