IAH forms Commission on Groundwater and Energy

United Kingdom – The International Association of Hydrogeologists has announced the formation of a new IAH Commission on Groundwater and Energy.

“This is a highly topical area of work in which IAH has been keen to establish a group for some time, and Council readily approved the proposal at its meeting in Rome,” the association said on its website.

The new commission will be co-chaired by Grant Ferguson of the University of Saskatchewan, Bridget Scanlon of the University of Texas and Rob Ward of the British Geological Survey.

The commission intends to work with international energy agencies and other important stakeholders, the association said. Details may be obtained through Grant Ferguson at Grant.ferguson@usask.ca.
