Students help protect wetlands in Parksville Qualicum Beach

Parksville Qualicum Beach, B.C. – About 20 people recently attended a wetlandkeepers certification course sponsored by the B.C. Wildlife Federation and the Mid Vancouver Island Habitat Enhancement Society. The course trains participants to ground-truth and classify known wetlands, and ultimately to assess which wetlands play an integral role in the ground water system.
