Algae blooms in Thousand Islands area are potentially harmful: health unit

Kingston, Ont. – Potentially harmful blue-green algae blooms have presented themselves in Leeds and Thousand Islands. As such, the Lanark District Health Unit has issued a warning to area residents to exercise caution around any water bodies where the blooms are found.
