Annual water report notes Sudbury’s drinking water remains salty
Highway road salt getting into nearby water system is a culprit

Sudbury, Ont. – The city’s annual water quality report shows that its drinking water is on the salty side. One of the Greater Sudbury area’s wells – the Onaping/Levack Drinking Water System – is an older legacy system that is in close proximity to a major highway subjected to road salt applications during the winter.
