Apprenticeship workshop to focus on under-represented groups

Ottawa – The Canadian Apprenticeship Forum will host a two-day workshop on apprenticeship technical training in Ottawa in October.

The event, set for Oct. 26 and 27 at the Delta City Centre, will focus on alternative delivery of apprenticeship technical training, including how new approaches are accommodating under-represented groups, the CAF-FCA said in its latest newsletter.

The aim is to discuss how apprenticeship training is adapting to technology trends and calls for diversity, while continuing to develop the highly skilled tradespeople required by the Canadian economy, the organization said.
