July 7, 2014, Ontario – The Ontario Water Works Association is seeking nominations for two new board members and its annual awards.
The OWWA is seeking two new board members to be elected at the OWWA Annual General Meeting (held at
the annual conference and trade show). Nominations close in November.
The association is managed by a volunteer Board of Directors, supported by an
Executive Director and staff. The board consists of a president, vice-president, past president, secretary-treasurer, American Water Works Association director, and six directors, each elected for a three-year term (staggered).
In addition, the association is seeking nominations for its annual awards, with a deadline for receipt of nominations in the first week of September.
Each year the OWWA and AWWA honour their members through various
achievement awards. The individuals who receive these awards are
recognized for their hard work and dedication to the water profession —
most awards are presented at the annual conference held in early May.
