B.C. villages to benefit from federal funding for water infrastructure improvements

Chase, Cache Creek, Lytton among benefactors

Kamloops, B.C. – The villages of Chase, Cache Creek and Lytton will benefit from millions of dollars in federal funding earmarked for water infrastructure projects.

The federal government is supporting a total of 45 infrastructure projects in British Columbia in the amount of $103.5 million.

Chase and Cache Creek will receive $5,899,000 and $2,282,800, respectively, for wastewater plant improvements while $135,000 has been committed to Lytton for its drinking water distribution system. The latter will enable the village to increase its capacity to undertake long term infrastructure projects.
