Belleville warns residents not to empty pollutants into stormwater drains

Belleville, Ont. – City residents are being warned of the dangers of emptying pollutants into stormwater drains. Acknowledging it as a problem, the City of Belleville is reminding residents that pouring cooking oil or chemicals down a stormwater drain is picked up by stormwater where it gets into streams and groundwater.
