Boil-water advisory could come to evacuated Merritt, but too soon for return to home

Merritt, B.C. – The flood-evacuated city of Merritt could be on a boil-water advisory sometime within the next several days, but that doesn’t mean residents will be returning to their homes anytime soon. The failure of the municipality’s water treatment plant was a primary reason for the evacuation, having lost the capacity to process sewage.
