July 12, 2019 By Ground Water Canada
A new reference book called The Art of Water Wells by registered professional geologist Marvin F. Glotfelty provides a comprehensive overview of well systems for everyone working in the ground water field.
The book, which provides practical information on water wells, including site selection, design, drilling methods and economics, is written in a fashion that is understandable, technically accurate and applicable to real-world situations, publisher NGWA Press said in a news release.
At more than 170 pages and featuring numerous drawings, photos, tables, and appendices, The Art of Water Wells is designed to be a valuable resource for well designers, contractors, engineers, water managers and hydrogeologists.
Glotfelty was the National Ground Water Association’s Distinguished McEllhiney Lecturer in 2012. He is a registered professional geologist in Arizona and California and a licensed well driller in Arizona. Glotfelty has been involved in the design, installation, rehabilitation and abandonment of more than 900 water wells in the southwestern United States.
The book costs $65 US for NGWA members; $75 US for non-members.
