CAF to hold employer engagement webinar

Toronto – The Canadian Apprenticeship Forum will present a series of webinars based on its 2016 conversations about major issues. The first webinar, on employer engagement, will take place on Feb. 22.
More than 300 stakeholders from across Canada gathered as a part of the CAF-FCA’s 2016 national conference to discuss eight “big issues” in apprenticeship training, the CAF said in a news release.
The issues were ones largely common across trades, sectors and the country. Following a stakeholder panel, participants were challenged to share their experiences and ideas for future action in facilitated group discussions.
Guest moderator Louie Leombruni of ArcelorMittal Dofasco in Hamilton, Ont., will share insights from one of the largest private-sector apprenticeship programs in Canada.
