Calgary mayor pleads with residents to conserve water while main break repairs continue

Calgary – The city’s mayor is pleading with residents to cut back on their water use while repairs continue to be made on a ruptured water main. Water usage has crept back up in recent days while repairs are still days away. Mayor Jyoti Gondek said she realizes residents’ laundry is piling up and their ability to bathe frequently are being compromised, but stressed efforts must be made to conserve as much water as possible.
