Calgary rivers impacted by warm, dry weather, but city’s water supply still OK
Groundwater replaces mountain snow pack as source

Calgary – The city’s water supply is in good shape, municipal officials say, in spite of Calgary’s long stretch of warm and dry weather. Both the Bow and Elbow rivers have been impacted by the weather as rivers upstream in the mountains experienced less than half of its anticipated precipitation. A winter-level low flow has been triggered, and the rivers’ source has been switched to groundwater from mountain snow pack. CTV News report | READ MORE
