Changes in effect for surface water and groundwater licensing in Alberta
November 23, 2021 By Ground Water Canada
Lethbridge – New applicants for surface water and groundwater licences in Alberta will be seeing changes with how they are regulated. The Digital Regulatory Assurance System (DRAS) will be managing some provincial Water Act licences, as of Nov. 15, including new surface water and groundwater licence applicants. Existing Water Act licences and temporary diversion licences will still be managed through the existing system until early in 2022. DRAS’ plan is to make application reviews more transparent and efficient. rdNewsNow report | READ MORE
