Class-action suit now open for Indigenous people to seek compensation for poor water
Settlement package is $1.5 billion in total

Ottawa – Indigenous Canadians whose ability to access clean drinking water has been stifled can now apply for benefits from the federal government. Yesterday marked the start of a class-action settlement agreement in which Indigenous people can apply for compensation. Those who qualify can apply for compensation in the $1.5-billion package.
