Cleanup still ongoing from January fuel spill into Sudbury-area lake
More than 800 litres of home heating fuel spilled from storage tank

Sudbury, Ont. – Cleanup of an oil spill into Ramsey Lake is continuing following an incident on Jan. 12 when more than 800 litres of home heating fuel spilled to the ground from a Gennings Street residential storage tank. Although most of the spilled fuel was recovered, a sheen appeared on the lake’s shoreline. Health officials have advised people to stop drinking their water if there is a smell of petroleum or a shine, but add the risk is low. I Heart Radio report | READ MORE
