Cochrane, Alta.’s growth rate could lead to expiration of water-drawing licence in four years
Town has submitted application to Alberta Environment to seek solution

Cochrane, Alta. – The town’s licence to draw water from the Bow River is to expire in four years, raising questions about how current growth rates can be sustained in the coming years. The town heard last week that at its current rate of growth, its water licence limits will likely be reached in barely more than four years.
