COVID-19 Updates News Associations Business
Connecting Canada’s ground water industry online

April 21, 2020  By Ground Water Canada

With so many events being postponed and cancelled by the pandemic, it’s more important than ever for ground water professionals in Canada to connect in other ways.

Following the cancellation of its 2020 convention, trade show and annual general meeting, the British Columbia Ground Water Association reminded members and everyone in the industry they will be providing information online and encouraging interaction through social media among members.

To this end, the association has added a COVID-19 Information and Resources page to its website with information and links intended specifically for members and the ground water community.

In an email to members, general manager Dave Mercer writes, “A major draw of our annual convention is the social opportunities it provides for visiting with friends and colleagues and making new connections. I for one am really going to miss that this year.”  To encourage networking and provide a forum for exchanging information and experiences, he invites members and everyone in the industry to follow them on Facebook and LinkedIn.

“We will be providing regular industry updates on both social media platforms, but perhaps more importantly we encourage you to use the comments sections to share information with your colleagues or just to say hello,” Mercer says.

Ground Water Canada encourages all members of provincial associations to connect with one another. Here are an overview of the industry and links to associations across Canada.
