Dairy farm pinpointed as cause of nitrate pollution in Okanagan Valley watershed

Okanagan Valley, B.C. – After months claiming sources of nitrate pollution in an aquifer from which several hundred residents in the Okanagan Valley draw their drinking water were too difficult to pinpoint, British Columbia’s environment ministry acknowledges it’s a giant dairy operation that spread millions of litres of liquid manure above the water source with ministry approval.
