Discoloured water continues to be an inconsistent problem among residents of Verner
November 26, 2021 By Ground Water Canada
Verner, Ont. – Discoloured water has been an ongoing problem here for several years – usually occurring during the warmer months – but it’s becoming a more frequent issue in the cool of fall. The municipality’s brown water is the result of manganese content in the Veuve River, which is its water treatment plant’s source. The water discolouration has been an inconsistent problem in the area, with water being clear one day and brown for the next four days, or clear in one household yet brown at the immediate next door neighbour’s residence.
