Drinking water infrastructure projects in Parry Sound-Muskoka get $4.1 million in provincial funding

Parry Sound, Ont. – Three drinking water infrastructure projects in the area are benefiting from $4.1 million in provincial funding.

The South River watermain and high lift pump rehabilitation is being provided $1.5 million to upgrade pipes, rehabilitate infrastructure, and upgrade high-lift pumps to ensure adequate fire flow levels.

The Town of Bracebridge’s water supply resiliency project will use $1.6 million to upgrade the water distribution system.

Shawanaga First Nation will put its $916,500 toward a replacement water treatment system for two new groundwater supply wells.

The announcements were made yesterday by Parry Sound-Muskoka MPP Norm Miller.
