Drought levels in some parts of B.C. nearing critical stage

Some regions without rainfall for several weeks

Victoria, B.C. – Water licensees in British Columbia may be ordered to scale back their operations if drought conditions worsen in the province. Some regions are already at Drought Level 4 which is one notch away from the worst case scenario. There has been little rainfall for the past several weeks in many parts of British Columbia. Groundwater can be used by licensees for non-domestic purposes, but that could change under the Water Sustainability Act. CFJC Today report | READ MORE
