Efforts underway to resolve last remaining First Nations drinking water advisories

Atlantic Canada – First Nations communities across Canada saw the lifting of 136 long-term drinking water advisories as of Nov. 16, and efforts are underway to resolve the 31 that still remain. The claim was made by Indigenous Services Canada following a transfer agreement it recently signed with Atlantic First Nations Water Authority for the latter to take control over water and wastewater management in 17 First Nations communities.
