Ottawa – A two-week extension is expected to be granted for military families seeking compensation in a class-action lawsuit over contaminated drinking water at CFB Valcartier. A judge says he is prepared to grant the extension beyond the Jan, 15 deadline. A cancer-causing degreasing agent had entered the base’s water table, lingering for decades.
