Federal government looking at new timelines to end First Nations boil-water advisories

Ottawa – The Canadian government is looking at a new timeline for long-term drinking water advisories to be lifted from First Nations areas. More than 100 long-term boil-water advisories have been lifted since the Trudeau government came into power in 2015, but 43 advisories still remain. Patty Hajdu, minister of Indigenous Services, said several barriers still exist before the remaining 43 advisories can be lifted. Global News report | READ MORE
