The federal government’s $1.5-billion compensation program for Indigenous people who have endured long-term boil-water advisories is “unfair and frustrating,” say those impacted by a years-long lack of clean drinking water. A member of the Neskantaga First Nation in Ontario, who has lived under a boil-water advisory since 1995, said the program entitles him to only six years of compensation, suggesting it’s “BS.” Global News report | READ MORE
