Flomatic’s Azure valves now NSF/ANSI standard 61 certified

Flomatic Corporation’s model Azure AWWA Butterfly Valves are now NSF/ANSI standard 61 certified for drinking water.

The Azure is designed to ANSI/AWWA C504 Butterfly valve standard, Flomatic said in a press release. It is available in several sizes ranging from 3-inch to 30-inch and has high flow capacities. The concentric, high-strength ductile iron disc with stainless steel edge seating provides minimal pressure drop with low turbulence.

On the 24-inch and smaller design, the Azure valve uses a lens-shaped disc, which provides the smallest protrusion possible in the flow stream, the release said.

The valve seat is simultaneously bonded and vulcanized to the valve body. The entire interior waterway of the valve body is lined with rubber to prevent corrosion and extend service life.
