November 16, 2021 By Ground Water Canada
Merritt, B.C. – Recent flooding in British Columbia has resulted in the complete failure of Merritt’s wastewater treatment plant and has forced the evacuation of the city’s entire population. The plant will not be operational for an undetermined length of time. Merritt’s drinking water has been deemed non-potable, even if boiled. Citizens have been advised to not use any water or flush toilets because the water has nowhere to go. CBC News report | READ MORE
