France thirsting for water amid country’s worst drought period on record

France – The country is experiencing its most severe drought on record, and things aren’t expected to get any better for at least another two weeks. About 100 communities in France are in dire need of drinking water, and the ongoing drought has taken its toll on agriculture, ecosystems and the country’s biodiversity.
