June 28, 2013, Loudon, Tennessee – George E. Failing Company (GEFCO) will merge with sister company Astec Loudon to boost GEFCO's product growth.

The Loudon facility currently manufactures the GEFCO 500K, a vertical drilling rig, and the ASTEC DP 2000 Double Pumper. Both locations manufacture equipment that target the oil and gas industry, and have similar markets.

“The goal of both plants is to combine our efforts so we are able to respond and react to the market in a quicker fashion,” said Aaron Harmon, president of GEFCO. “Both plants bring their own set of strengths to the table and we are excited about this opportunity and look forward to growing our business.”

The two plants have a total manufacturing capacity of 750,000 square feet and employ more than 300 professionals with years of experience. The integration adds additional resources to focus on incorporating state-of-the-art equipment and technology. The Loudon plant will add valuable thru-put that is needed to continue building suitable products.

“Our mission is to grow and prosper by designing, manufacturing and selling the most productive and dependable equipment within the industries that we serve; along with providing unequalled customer service,” said Luis Aguilera, Director of Manufacturing for both locations. “The integration of the Enid and Loudon facilities will allow GEFCO to provide additional products that meet or exceed our quality standards as well as our customer’s requirements through continuous improvement of our products, processes and services.”
