The rig is a compact machine for use with 3.5 inch tooling for soil and groundwater sampling. The rig also features a new GH64 Hammer with Modular Percussion Power Cell technology and integrated two-speed, bi-directional rotation for turning augers. Thumb-dial controls for the auxiliary hydraulics on the redesigned control panel are meant to help the operator easily regulate flow for mud rotary applications.

With 500 rpm at the spindle, a side-feed swivel can be used at geotechnical sites that require coring bedrock. The rig has 48,000 lb. of pullback, a rear stabilizer with Geoprobe Drop Rack System and Tier 3 compliant diesel engine.
