Toronto – CSA Group has published a new C448 bi-national standard developed to assist those involved in the design and installation of ground source pump systems for commercial and residential buildings.

ANSI/CSA C448-2016 Design and installation of ground source pump systems for commercial and residential buildings aims to harmonize the differences between existing resources, simplify referencing in regulations and contracts, incorporate the latest advancements, clarify compliance using standards language, and provide credibility through an accredited neutral standards development process.

The standard was created by a committee that included leaders from industry trade and professional associations, utilities, drillers, installers, manufacturers, regulators, designers / engineers and researchers / academia. The committee was endorsed by IGSHPA’s Standards Committee.
