Groundwater expected to be replenished in parched Western Canada following forecasted storm
Prairies besieged by recent drought
June 20, 2022 By Ground Water Canada
The Weather Network has forecast a heavy storm today through most of the Prairies and northwestern Ontario, but it’s not being seen as all doom and gloom.
While widespread thunderstorms are expected across the area, possibly bringing with it heavy rain, gusting wind and hail, groundwater impacted by recent drought can be replenished.
The swath of area in Western Canada is also being monitored for the potential of localized flooding.
