Groundwater in Minto, N.B. continues to be monitored two years after tire fire
Groundwater flowing away from water supply

Minto, N.B. – Groundwater that may have been impacted by contaminants from a tire fire here two years ago appears to be flowing away from local water supplies. Water continues to be monitored at the site. Among the contaminants found in the monitoring wells included petroleum hydrocarbons, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and metals. According to the provincial government, impacted groundwater is either limited to the site or moving away from potable water sources. CBC News report | READ MORE
