Groundwater in Minto, N.B. continues to be monitored two years after tire fire

Minto, N.B. – Groundwater that may have been impacted by contaminants from a tire fire here two years ago appears to be flowing away from local water supplies. Water continues to be monitored at the site. Among the contaminants found in the monitoring wells included petroleum hydrocarbons, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and metals.
