Guelph, Ont. – In anticipation of a spike in population growth, the city has revised its water supply master plan.
The updated plan suggests the city may demand an additional 3,000 cubic metres of additional water daily. Guelph currently relies on 25 groundwater wells for its supply, but is looking at other sources.
The city has looked at the Region of Waterloo for its successful storage of water in underground aquifers.
