Harvesting clean drinking water from fog among many innovations published in UN book
Morocco study producing 6,300 litres daily

Hamilton – Cloud fishing, or cloud seeding, helps to turn fog into clean drinking water. Scientists working in southern Morocco, at the edge of the Sahara Desert, are extracting moisture from dense fog on Mount Boutmezguida, producing 6,300 litres of freshwater daily to the villages below. The technology is one of several innovations to address the need for needed freshwater in a new book published by the United Nations University Institute for Water, Environment and Health.
