Hinton, Alta. embraces new geothermal clean energy project

Edmonton – A geothermal energy project that combines clean energy and food production is being embraced in the Town of Hinton. The project conducted by Calgary-based Novus Earth Latitude 53 is dependent on the geothermal gradient and water. The earth’s natural heat warms water to about 130 degrees Celsius, producing a high-pressure fluid that powers a turbine and generates electricity. CBC News report | READ MORE
