
Ottawa – Environment and Climate Change Canada recently released a report detailing the health of the Great Lakes that contains a section on the impact of ground water. The report says the ground water quality assessment is “Fair” but more data is needed.
Scientists are using concentrations of nitrate, primarily from agricultural practices, and chloride, mainly from the urban use of de-icing salt, to assess quality. | READ REPORT HIGHLIGHTS
