March 18, 2022 By Ground Water Canada
A television documentary exploring the plight of Indigenous communities’ access to clean drinking water begins airing today on Crave TV.
Called “The Water Walker,” the Seeing Red 6-Nations-produced program follows Indigenous teen Autumn Peltier’s journey from Manitoulin Island to New York City, where she addressed the United Nations about the ongoing crisis faced by First Nations communities that have long been denied clean water.
The message she delivers is that there is no future without clean water.
