Iqaluit solves another drinking water setback caused by maintenance at treatment plant

Iqaluit, Nunavut – Mere days after the Nunavut government lifted its do-not-drink order here in mid-December, measurable amounts of hydrocarbons were found in the city’s treated water tanks. It was learned yesterday, however, that the matter was quickly mitigated following a brief shutdown of the plant and localized flushing.
