Iqaluit’s leaking ball valve won’t be repaired until summer when temperatures rise
Boil-water advisory remains in effect

Iqaluit, Nunavut – A leaking ball valve remains a problem in the city’s ongoing water crisis, but work to look after its repair won’t be accomplished until the summer when temperatures are warmer. The leaking valve has caused Iqaluit’s water system to depressurize. Once pressure has dropped below 20 psi, it initiates a boil-water advisory and the need for water testing.
