Iqaluit shipping eight sea cans of used plastic water bottles to Montreal for recycling
Landfill will be spared of 265 cubic metres of plastic

Iqaluit, Nunavut – Plastic bottles that were left over from the city’s water crisis late last year have filled eight sea cans that are headed to Montreal for recycling. About 8,000 residents were forced to turn to bottled water after the local water source was found contaminated with fuel. The shipment of the water bottles has spared about 265 cubic metres of plastic from entering the local landfill. Nunatsiaq News report | READ MORE
