Lab test results indicate no detectable amounts of asbestos in Medicine Hat’s drinking water
Concerns originated from CTV network's W5 program about asbestos cement piping

Medicine Hat, Alta. – Test results from a lab in Cincinnati suggest there are no detectable levels of asbestos in the city’s drinking water supply. The city was concerned about the possibility of asbestos cement fibres present in the water after the CTV network aired an episode of W5 which looked into Canadian municipalities whose pipes are made of asbestos cement.
