Lake Superior First Nations community to benefit from $58M water treatment plant
Plant being constructed as proactive measure to safeguard local drinking water

Biigtigong Nishnaabeg, Ont. – Construction has begun on a $58-million water treatment plant on the north shore of Lake Superior that will provide drinking water to more than 168 homes and other facilities. The plant, which is expected to be operational by November 2024, is being built as a proactive measure to safeguard local drinking water.
