London-area First Nation gets connected to Lake Huron Water Supply System
Community had been under boil-water advisory

London, Ont. – The Lake Huron Water Supply System’s board of management has given its full support to connect to the Oneida Nation of the Thames. The arrangement makes it the first London-area First Nation to hook into one of the area’s two water supply systems. The First Nation community had been under a boil-water advisory since 2019. The First Nation hopes Indigenous Services Canada will fund the $20.6-million cost of connecting the Lake Huron water pipeline. London Free Press report | READ MORE
