Manitoulin, Ont. – Plenty of fractured limestone lies beneath the soil on Manitoulin Island, providing a lot of places where there are groundwater streams. Seija Deschenes, project coordinator for Manitoulin Streams, says there are places where groundwater springs up and feeds into local streams, including Blue Jay Creek.
