Lower Mainland’s water supply could be challenged if weather patterns persist: hydrologist
Longer, hotter, drier summers are becoming the norm in recent years

Vancouver – If extreme weather patterns continue to plague the Lower Mainland, residents could be in store for more cloudy water coming for their taps for decades to come, a local field hydrologist warns. He says long, hot and dry summers are becoming more common, and warming temperatures are apt to produce less snow from snow packs to fill reservoirs.
