Meet the Canadian Water Resources Association

March 5, 2021  By Ground Water Canada

The Canadian Water Resources Association is a national not-for-profit made up of members from the public, private, and academic sectors who are committed to promoting responsible, innovative, and effective water resources management.

Members include provincial and municipal water managers, policy administrators, scientists and academics, hydrology/hydraulic professionals and students from across Canada.

Formed in 1947 as the Western Canada Reclamation Association, the CWRA is the only national organization addressing all water resource issues across the various regions of Canada. It provides professional development through certification courses, workshops and webinars; hosts conferences and events; and participates in other organizations’ events, workshops and activities.

Every year the CWRA produces a short document highlighting the past year and hinting at the year to come. It’s an excellent summary of the organization’s activities and what they offer to the Canadian water community. Download the PDF to check it out.
